Our Mission Statement
Chuck Wagon Community Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization, committed to improving the community of Odessa, Texas, and the Permian Basin.
We are dedicated, but not limited, to helping all veterans by joining with other non-profit organizations that support our men and women who serve and protect the United States of America.
We also assist other non-profit organizations, first responders, special causes, individual needs, disaster relief, and scholarships to promote Odessa and the State of Texas with the Spirit of West Texas.
Promoting the Rich Culture Our Community
We promote the culture of Odessa as an extension of the work of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang.
Our Humble Beginnings
The Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang started representing our oil-centered community's hardworking and generous spirit in 1940. At present, we continue to serve as ambassadors for the Odessa community.
What We Do
The Chuck Wagon Gang began by feeding masses of people famous Texas barbecue cooked with their own West Texas flavor. Now, the Gang has fed folks not only in the State of Texas, but all over the USA.
We’ve also reached international communities, including Mexico, Canada, Sweden, Russia and Czechoslovakia to name a few. The focus was on representing Odessa, Texas, abroad with its 501(c)(6) non-profit status of local volunteers.
Looking to the Future
By increasing outreach that doesn't always entail feeding programs, the gang hopes to have a greater impact on a larger community.
As a result, the Chuck Wagon Community Fund was established as a distinct organization with a fresh mission that may cooperate with the Chuck Wagon Gang.
